Hi mateys! There have been a lot of developments around the AyeAye® boat system again, including the sign-ups for beta testing and the final testing of the product. Read on quickly!
AyeAye® boat system beta testing and final testing update
Looking for brave beta testers
Over the past few months, our efforts have included the beta test campaign on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and the website. It has been a success! Many people responded to the call to sign up to be a beta tester. We are very grateful for that!
During the selection process, we wanted to know a lot about the potential testers so that we could make a diverse selection. We will of course keep the candidates who did not make it informed of all developments.
Soon the selected beta testers will be among the first to receive the AyeAye® boat computer. We are currently busy producing the beta prototypes. This year they can start testing so that we can make the product even better.
Sailing Twirre
Below an introduction of one of our beta test teams Elle and Gertjan, who you can follow on Instagram @sailingtwirre:
“On Instagram I came across a call from AyeAye for beta testers. I checked them out and got excited straight away. We’ve just started to learn to sail and we’re real gadget nerds. AyeAye offers loads of features that are fun and really helpful. You can monitor and track all kinds of data about your boat. It helps you prepare your trips in advance and you can even control stuff remotely. But most of all it will make your sailing adventures a lot safer.
Being very new to sailing, we’re open to new ideas and information that can help us become better and safer sailors. We recently bought a Jaguar 27 from 1975. She was very basic with no tech. But we’re slowly upgrading her. We find it important to learn the basics of sailing first and then expand her capabilities step by step.
With our above average interest and knowledge of technology, we think we can be of great use helping to further finetune AyeAye. Especially as beginners who make mistakes, experience stuff for the first time and have great plans for exciting new adventures. That, and of course a great sense of humour 😉
We’re very excited that we (and our Twirre) will be able to collaborate on this fantastic new system that will greatly benefit many sailors around the world.”
We are extremely happy with the great testers! Soon we will introduce more beta test teams.
Final testing
During the last thorough testing of the product, a number of minor issues emerged that could be resolved very quickly with minor bug fixes, thank goodness!
The final tests and the upcoming beta tests are hugely important to be able to test the compatibility of as many manufacturers as possible such as Raymarine, Garmin and B&G on our product.
Next steps
Below is a summary of current and future events:
- We are in talks with a number of investors who are very excited about our product. We hope to have an investor on board as soon as possible.
- Currently we are at an advanced stage with our manufacturer which means that production of the beta prototypes can begin at any time.
- After the first beta prototypes are produced, the beta test teams can begin thorough testing of the product.
Until the next update!
